Professional Stress in Education
The stresses of education professionals are unique, as they are the central guardians of our common future: Our children.
Stresses and problems are typcially addressed in the following order: 1) Students, 2) Parents, 3) Administrative and Government requirments, 5) Own Family and, if there’s any time left, 6) Self.
The omission of active self-care is the problem.
Without it, we make stress-based decisions and pass that lesson on to the children and guess what?!? They model and incorporate that into their psyches and behaviours.
Perpetuation is easier than change, it is said. “I’ve too much to do…”
NO! This is a core change that must happen to effect the change we want to see in the world. It is the only true way forward..
And it starts here!
David’s extensive experience in education has led him to develop individualized and small gropup programs that enhance brain-mind well-being, naturally converting stress in a force for positive change in the classroom and in Life itself … for our guardians.
